Workshop teaching is based on the definition of the basic structure of a territory, the status of the soil, networks and developed site, landscape, of any social, cultural and historical traces that govern the specificity of a site, through critical, interpretative-oriented analysis not only to diagnose but especially to reveal the ambition of a place. It tests the existing relationships between architectures rather than architects themselves, between formal spaces and informal spaces, the alignment between urban forms, but also morphological order issues resulting therefrom. The workshop is organized along two axes: ![]() The experimentation The training which is called for by our discipline is achieved through a given project considered as a means of reading, interpretation and and knowledge. This is a fundamental within the teaching framework which brings a systematic questioning. From this emerges a questioning mode enabling guidance solutions applied to different spatial scales. It also trigger the student do discuss territorial scales based on a holistic approach in which the multi-disciplinary plays a fundamental role. Through the notions of density and limits using different modes of representation, the workshop experiments the urban project in a real situation. The study moves around a research in a total academic freedom to formulate contrasted solutions on a larger scale. Witness to a deed The project is supported by a theory contribution which aims to provide the student with knowledge of urban productions in cities and by scanning modes and knowledge using historical as well as contemporary examples. ![]() [fiche module] [top] |
