Blanca Gardeluigi

Blanca Garcia Gardelegui is an architect and researcher with expertise in a sustainable and social design approach to collaborative projects – from the reuse of materials to the circularity of local resources. In the autumn semesters of 2026 and 2027, she will head the « Regenerative Architecture & Wood » studio at the Joint Master of Architecture Biel/Bienne.

 

After studying architecture at the Barcelona School of Architecture, Blanca Garcia Gardelegui worked at Herzog & de Meuron in Basel. She then worked as an architect at the United Nations in Geneva and as a research assistant at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Since 2022, Blanca Garcia Gardelegui has been working as an expert in circular construction and recycling at the Zirkular office. She has been teaching at the AA Visiting School since 2023. In 2024, she was a visiting professor at ETH Lausanne together with Arianne Widmer.
