Le séminaire 3 est un cours d’analyse urbaine critique.

Nous mobilisons des outils associés à la pratique de l’architecture comme le dessin, la cartographie, le relevé, la réalisation de maquettes, dans le but de dresser le portrait de situations urbaines et territoriales et faire émerger, par l’étude, des interrogations ou des problématiques qui peuvent servir d’amorce, dans un second temps, à une intervention dans l’espace.

Nous encourageons une approche transdisciplinaire par l’invitations d’interventant·e·x·s dont la pratique entre en résonnance avec le sujet traité.

Par cette approche décloisonnée, nous cherchons à transmettre aux étudiant·e·x·s la capacité de développer un regard critique sur une situation donnée, de mobiliser des outils transversaux leur permettant de complexifier leur vision du monde tout en approchant l’étude et l’analyse comme un acte créatif déterminant la clarté de leurs projets et la pertinence de leurs propos.

Seminar 3 is a critical urban analysis course.

We draw on tools associated with architectural practice—drawing, mapping, surveying, and model-making—with the aim of portraying urban and territorial situations and, through this study, bringing out questions or issues that can, in a second stage, serve as a starting point for an intervention in space.
We encourage a transdisciplinary approach by inviting guest speakers whose practice resonates with the subject at hand.
Through this open, cross-disciplinary approach, we aim to give students the ability to develop a critical outlook on a given situation, to draw on cross-cutting tools that let them add complexity to their view of the world, and to approach study and analysis as a creative act that shapes the clarity of their projects and the relevance of their arguments.
